All we have to look to is the smear of the 2000 GOP primaries; Bush's campaign sent McCain walking away with his tail between his legs. Rove, of course, was the Chief Strategist for Bush's 2000 and 2004 campaigns.
I think Rove it right about this, though.
McCain folded on the bailout, and (as even I did) underestimated the appeal of an African American candidate.
While I recognize how remarkable an Obama win will be for minorities across the country, as you know, I doubted his chances, citing much of the solid logic in your last post. I just didn't have faith in white people voting for a black man, and I figured democratic turnout would be low, as it has been for decades. I'm not always right...
Regardless of who wins, inshaAllah the Hand of God will stop another war from starting, and hopefully end our current ones.
