Shiraz

We arrived in Shiraz yesterday at about 11. Our hotel is directly next to Masjid Az Zahra which is pretty much the best mosque I've seen so far.

Today we went to Takhte Jamshid. We had to buy some goofy hats from a street vendor to avoid cancer of the scalp. Mine said ''Bolo Funcap'' on the side and it truly lived up to its name. Forget about any historical site you've ever visited because this one is the best. (Possibly some Persian bias in this statement)

Following Takhte Jamshid we went to Bagh Eram which is the biggest garden in Shiraz.

This house at the head of the garden and I wanted to occupy it for a weekend or 2.

Following our garden escipade we went to see the mausoleum of Shacheragh, which houses the brothers of Imam Reza. The mausoleum was beautiful inside and out but pictures are only allowed outside.

Hey jaas!! This is so neat that you are able to journal & share your adventures as you travel through Iran. I am so happy to be able to see you & Dad in these pictures as you go. Makes me feel like I'm there! Have fun & keep blogging.
Love,
